DEAR DEIDRE: I’M scared to let anyone close to me since my uncle sexually assaulted me.
He’s very close to my mother as they had a rough childhood and were there for one another when my grandfather used to hit my grandmother.

My uncle of 59 got drunk at my cousin’s wedding three years ago and he followed me up the stairs to my hotel room, pushed me inside and raped me.
