The Los Angeles Lakers face arch-rivals Boston Celtics in their second road game. However, this time they have a huge boost with the return of LeBron James. Coming in with a loss against the Bucks, the Lakers will look to get back to winning ways. With such a big rivalry, some NBA legends have also made an appearance, with one such legend showing his love for Kobe Bryant.
The Celtics have not had a great start to the season either. Suffering the loss of Jaylen Brown, who is their leading scorer, has been tough on them. However, former Laker Dennis Schroder has done a decent job in filling that role. Moreover, young Jayson Tatum is coming off a stellar performance as well. But, it is clear that the Celtics are not like they were at one time.

A prime example of such Celtics is Bill Russell who has come to the game and shown his love for the ‘Mamba’.

Bill Russell wears Kobe Bryant hat
Russell is one of the most iconic players in NBA history. His rivalry with Wilt Chamberlain and his habit of winning have made him one of the best players in history. Russell also shared a great relationship with Kobe Bryant, who himself is a legend of the game. To honor his legacy. Russell came to the game with a Kobe hat. However, he didn’t forget the Celtics.

While Bryant was the mentor to many players, Russell was the Mamba’s mentor throughout his career. Being a learner, he took in may things from Russell and implemented them into his own game. He spoke very highly of the 11 time champion. For Bill, Kobe was like a son and he even said that he couldn’t be anymore proud of Kobe than if he would be his son.
Sharing such a golden relationship, it is no surprise that Russell keeps Kobe in his heart. He came into the game with a Kobe hat. And to honor his team, he wore a mask with the infamous shamrock all over it. It is great to see the legend embrace still come in and even honor his student through it.
