Britney Spears has taken to Instagram to call out Christina Aguilera avoiding questions about her conservatorship, comparing it to Lady Gaga’s reaction to the same question.

The Toxic star, 39, was recently freed from the conservatorship rule she had been under for 13 years, allowing her to regain control over her personal and financial decisions.

Given that Christina, 40, was one of Britney’s main contemporaries, a reporter on the red carpet at the 22nd Annual Latin Grammy Awards this week asked her whether the pair had spoken after the news.

Before Christina could reply, a publicist interrupted to tell the reporter: ‘No, we’re not doing that tonight, I’m sorry. Thank you though, bye,’ before ushering the singer away as she told them: ‘I can’t, but I am happy for her.’

Britney shared the clip on her Instagram story, adding: ‘I love and adore everyone who supported me… but refusing to speak when you know the truth is equivalent to a lie!!!!

’13 years being in a corrupt abusive system yet why is it such a hard topic for people to talk about??? I’m the one who went through it!!!! All the supporters who spoke up and supported me thank you… yes I do matter!!!!!’

Comparing Christina’s response to that of Lady Gaga, 35, Britney shared another clip of the House Of Gucci star answering a question about the conservatorship.

Gaga could be heard saying: ‘The way that she was treated in this business was really wrong, and the way that women are treated in the music industry is something that I wish would change.

‘I think that she will forever be an inspiration to women.’

Britney added: ‘Thank you @ladygaga for genuinely taking your time to say something so kind. You made me cry!!! I love you!!!’

The singer had finally had her conservatorship removed last week after it was put in place in 2008 following a public breakdown.

She and the Free Britney movement had been campaigning to have it lifted after 13 years to allow her to regain control over her finances and personal decisions, which has now been granted.
