Dallas Cowboys to Miss Star Wide Receiver for Two Crucial Games

Dallas Cowboys are all set to play Kansas City Chiefs without the star wide receiver Amari Cooper. The next three matchups are going to be a tough one for the Cowboys as within just 12 days they are going to go up against the Chiefs, the Raiders and the Saints.

The week 11 and 12 matchups are going to be even tougher since the Cowboys have placed their star wideout, Amari Cooper, on reserve/COVID-19 list Friday. And with that, the wideout is going to miss the Chiefs matchup and remains doubtful against the Raiders as well since the player is reportedly unvaccinated.

Amari Cooper out for two crucial games

According to the sources, Amari Cooper tested positive for COVID-19 and is also unvaccinated, making it mandatory for him to go through a ten-day quarantine period, making him miss his Raiders matchup, which is on Thanksgiving Day. However, Cooper should be all clear by the time the Cowboys fly to the Mercedes-Benz Superdome for their Saints matchup.

Fortunately, the Cowboys don’t have any other COVID-related issues in the squad, making all of them active during this 12-day run. However, losing a player like Cooper will surely be a setback for the offense as the wideout has caught 44 passes for 583 yards and five touchdowns this season, all of which rank second on the Cowboys.

However, during his absence, wide receivers Michael Gallup and CeeDee Lamb will be the two prime targets for Dak Prescott. The No. 3 WR spot will be held by Cedric Wilson again, which he also did during Gallup’s seven-week absence.
