Lewis Hamilton Details How Angela Cullen is ‘Keeping Me On My Toes’ After Qatar GP Win
The first-ever F1 race in Losail International Circuit witnessed some unpredictable outcomes. However, things at the top were pretty much the same. Lewis Hamilton clinched a clinical victory, 102nd of his career followed by his title rival Max Verstappen in the second place.
In the post-race interview, the Briton made a special mention to his personal trainer Angela Cullen for making sure he is fit and trained while going into these races. The seven-times champion says he is feeling “fitter than ever”.
Angela Cullen has a huge role to play in Lewis’ success
The two title rivals are now separated with an 8-point difference with two races to go. This hunt for the title is expected to go down to the wire. However, the Mercedes driver believes he would not have achieved so much without Cullen’s support. “I am incredibly grateful to be able to have her on the road with me. I don’t think I could do it without her,” said Hamilton as reported by GPFans.

While answering how he was feeling going the last two races, Hamilton said, “Feels good, I’m really happy with the car. I feel fit, fitter than ever and that’s a positive. Big thanks to Ange(Angela Cullen), she is having me trained and keeping me on my toes.”
Cullen is a close friend and a confidante to Hamilton. “So Angela and I are naturally incredibly close, we pretty much live together. We are also the closest of friends so I am very, very lucky to have found Angela because she is a very special human being.” said the Briton as reported by Gpfans.
The way ahead for Lewis Hamilton
With two races left in the season and an 8-point gap, the title fight is going to be nothing less than a treat for the F1 fans. The Brackley team driver is aiming for his 8th world title surpassing legendary Michael Schumacher while Verstappen is in line to become the youngest World Champion in the history of Formula1.
“It was pretty lonely at the front,” said Lewis Hamilton after a faultless weekend in Qatar. Meanwhile, the Dutchman feels good going into this tight battle. “It is going to be a difficult fight to the end, it’s good. It keeps you excited,” said the RedBull driver.
