Tyson Fury Slams Dillian Whyte for Turning His Back On Him

The Tyson Fury-Dillian Whyte saga takes yet another turn. Rumors and speculations of a fight between the two started just before Fury fought Wilder. The WBC announced that the winner of the Fury vs Wilder fight would take on the WBC interim champion, Dillian Whyte. After Fury’s win over Wilder, the boxing world has been wondering who ‘The Gypsy King’ will take on next.

Dillian Whyte looked to take on Otto Wallin on October 30. However, a shoulder injury ruled Whyte out of the fight. So instead of re-scheduling his fight with Wallin, the WBC decided to give Whyte his long-awaited title shot. Then, during the WBC’s convention in Mexico last week, the WBC decided to put the fight on hold due to an ongoing legal issue between Whyte and the WBC.

As the events to this saga developed, Fury took to his Twitter to berate Whyte for turning his back on him, captioning the post, “Funny how people treat you when you are good to them” and, “worlds gone mad #13%”. In the background of the video, Fury played the song Many Men (Wish Death) by 50 Cent.

Following his breath-taking victory over ‘The Bronze Bomber’, Fury is now the most sought-after heavyweight in the division. With Joshua losing his belts to Usyk, Fury is in an awkward situation, waiting for the rematch between Joshua and Usyk.

Tyson Fury responds to Dillian Whyte fight not being ordered by WBC

Tyson Fury reacts to the WBC delaying his potential fight against Dillian Whyte due to an ongoing legal case. Top Rank promoter Bob Arum spoke to IFL TV and revealed the conversation he had with ‘The Gypsy King’ on a phone call. “I talked to Tyson and we discussed it plainly. If Joshua steps aside, Tyson’s happy to fight Usyk.”

“If Joshua doesn’t step aside – and it’s completely up to Joshua that’s his contract – than Tyson said why not Dillian Whyte. Then we would go ahead and proceed to make a fight between Fury and Whyte. Doesn’t have to be a mandatory, doesn’t have be anybody ordering it. It’s a good fight for Tyson Fury.” Arum said. The lay-out of the heavyweight divisional landscape certainly leaves several permutations of fights that could be drawn out in the long-run. One thing is for sure, the fans are certainly in for a slew of exciting fights when it’s all said and done.
