Bandai Namco Debuts Definitive Edition for Tekken 7 to Build on Immense Success

Bandai Namco is set to expand the Tekken empire further with its latest announcement, revealing the launch of brand-new editions to its critically acclaimed world-renowned title, Tekken 7. The announcement comes from the devs in celebration of the massive success of the original title.

Now, in a teaser video through the official handle of the game, Bandai Namco showcased three new editions: Legendary, Original, and the Definitive Edition. Continue reading if you wish to find out what each version has to offer.

Tekken 7: all-new editions

Tekken 7’s limited arcade release was originally in March 2015. But the title built its legacy much later with the release of Tekken 7: Fated Retribution on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on June 2, 2017. Now, the fighting game is back to reclaim the top spot with three new versions that also bring iconic characters back to life.

All you need to know about the latest editions

The Legendary variant will only be a physical copy release limited to the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) region. It will also introduce eight additional DLC classic characters from the franchise.

Whereas the Original Edition will include 12 of the classic fighters as well as new frame data. On the other hand, the Definitive version will offer fans every fighter, season pass content and the stages players love.

Here’s a list of the twelve fighters that will be a part of the Original:

Lei Wulong
Craig Marduk
Armor King
Julia Chan
Zafina
Ganryu
Leroy Smith
Fahkumram
Kunimitsu
Lidia Sobieska

Although, the prices of these new versions are enormous in comparison to the original game. Customers will be looking to shell out a minimum of $89.99 USD for the Original Edition and $109.99 for the Definitive. The aforementioned two versions are also limited to digital copies only.

It must be noted that these prices might vary on different stores and platforms.

The latest versions of the fan-favorite Tekken 7 are now available on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Moreover, Bandai Namco is also giving early customers a discount of 20-30% on some digital stores as per the news wire.
