Golden Globes 2021: Kaley Cuoco and Margot Robbie lead the glamour for virtual red carpet

The Golden Globes might have been virtual this year but that didn’t stop stars like Elle Fanning and Margot Robbie from getting dressed up the nines.

The annual ceremony was hosted from separate coasts with the action taking place in New York City’s Rainbow Room and inside in the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles.

The Flight Attendant’s Kaley Cuoco wowed in a sparkly silver Oscar de la Renta ballgown which The Big Bang Theory star teamed with Harry Winston jewels.

Modern Family star Sarah Hyland was every inch the lady in red as she rocked the hue from head-to-toe in a Monique Lhuillier gown.

The Great’s Elle Fanning was serving regal elegance in a custom Gucci gown while Margot Robbie kept things chic in a Chanel dress.

Mank’s Amanda Seyfried was camera-ready in a backless Oscar de la Renta gown with rose detailing.

Elsewhere, The Crown’s Josh O’Connor looked suave in a Bulgari ensemble.

Iconic duo Tina Fey and Amy Poehler return as hosts of the coveted awards ceremony for the first time since 2015 – but they’re splitting the duties from separate sides of the country.

Leading the nominations this year were the likes of Chadwick Boseman, who has been honored with a posthumous nomination for his incredible performance in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, and Anya Taylor-Joy, who has been nominated in the film and TV categories.

Meanwhile, Jane Fonda was chosen to be honored with the Cecil B. DeMille Award for lifetime achievement.

As ever, the Globes were judged by a secretive group of 87 international journalists known as the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA).

However, stars have recently called out the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for not having any Black members as they shared the same campaign image and hashtag, referencing the #TimesUp movement.
