Kaley Cuoco takes Golden Globes loss like a trooper as she pigs out on cake and pizza and that’s why we love her
Kaley Cuoco may have missed out on a win at this year’s Golden Globes, but it sure looked like she was enjoying herself, as she drank and ate her way through her loss.
The actress, 35, had been nominated for two awards, including best actress in a musical or comedy, for her latest HBO series The Flight Attendant.
She faced stiff competition from Lily Collins for Emily In Paris, Elle Fanning in The Great and Jane Levy in Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, with Catherine O’Hara stealing the gong for her role as Moira Rose in Schitt’s Creek.
Taking the loss in her stride, Kaley proved exactly why we love her as she threw herself a pity party for one on the floor of her home.
She was seen hilariously clutching a bottle of champers and a slice of pizza, while sitting with a cake and some of her hair extensions in a lap.
Wearing a tiara, Kaley threw her heels out in front her as she surrounded herself with all the carbs she needed to get herself through the annual awards ceremony, including a huge tray of mac and cheese and a box of cupcakes.
Girl after our own hearts, right?
Kaley joked in her caption: ‘I would like to thank…never mind !!😝🥂🎉 🍕 🧁.’
Fans and Kaley’s celebrity pals flocked to the comments, with some telling the former Big Bang Theory star that she was ‘robbed’ and others branding her an ‘icon’.
‘Loooolzzzz,’ commented Olivia Munn, while Zosia Mamet was pretty much us all as she posted: ‘@kaleycuoco just when I think I can’t love you any more.’
We’re pretty sure there were no hard feelings over Catherine landing the award in Kaley’s category, as it turns out Kaley is a huge fan of the actress.
Days before the Golden Globes aired virtually on Sunday night, Kaley – who stunned in an Oscar de la Renta gown for the awards – had met Catherine for the first time and was seen freaking out, as she fan-girled hard over the Home Alone star.
Kaley wrote on Instagram: ‘Anyone who knows me knows what this moment meant to me. I finally met my comedy queen #catherineohara and she’s everything I hoped and dreamed 💖.’
It was a double win for Catherine as Schitt’s Creek beat The Flight Attendant, Emily In Paris, The Great and Ted Lasso to win best TV series musical or comedy.
Other winners on the night included Sacha Baron Cohen who picked up a best actor gong for Borat 2, John Boyega for his supporting role in TV series Small Axe and Chadwick Boseman who picked up a posthumous best actor award for his movie Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.
The Crown was also a big winner at this year’s Golden Globes, with the Netflix series picking up four awards, including best drama TV series.
Gillian Anderson won best supporting actress for her role as Margaret Thatcher in season four of The Crown, while Josh O’Connor (who plays Prince Charles) scooped best actor in a TV drama series and Emma Corrin (Princess Diana) took home best actress.
