Dancing on Ice viewers have stepped in to defend Holly Willoughby after she was recently hit with Ofcom complaints about her dress.

Holly’s outfits have become a bit of a talking point since the series hit our screens last month.

During the first week, 52 viewers complained to the TV watchdog, unhappy about the 40-year-old’s beautiful pink embellished floor-length gown.

Some fans felt that Holly’s dress was a bit ‘too revealing’, with some claiming it was ‘obscene’ for a pre-watershed show.

On the same night, the programme was also hit with another 346 complaints over Rufus Hound’s blistering attack on the government for initially refusing to give hungry school children free meals.

Since then Holly has stunned us with a bridal-style gown and on Valentine’s weekend, she looked pretty in pink as she donned an Iris Serban dress.

During Sunday’s instalment, the This Morning host wowed fans in a floor-length backless red gown designed by British Bridal Couture, that was tied at the back with a glamourous bow.

The outfit was complete with shoes Sophia Webster and jewellery from Boodles.

After giving fans a glimpse of what she was wearing last night, fans flocked to social media to praise Holly’s outfit.

One also told the ITV host stick it to the haters who may have complained about her dress.

‘A classic red dress for a classy beautiful lady. @hollywills truly was a sight to behold tonight. Incredible,’ one viewer penned.

One added: ‘Holly looks stunning in that dress.’

Another tweeted: ‘I really hope #Hollywilloughby wears the most cleavage-enhancing dress she can find, for the final of #DancingOnIce Sicken all those haters and make the front covers of all the tabloids the next day.’

Holly’s celeb pals also complimented the mum-of-two’s dress, with Emma Bunton commenting: ‘There she is, Wow!’

Rochelle Humes simply shared a love heart emoji, while Gogglebox star Nikki Tapper wrote: ‘Stunning.’

Dancing on Ice returns on Sunday at 6pm on ITV.
