Nikita Mazepin’s Billionaire Father Proposes an Incentive Plan for Haas F1

With a difficult season behind them and an even more hectic one ahead, F1 teams have a lot in mind to keep the morale up. The traveling circus is sure to be difficult next season and as a result, Dmitry Mazepin looks to keep the Haas employees happy. To do so, the Russian businessman has proposed an incentive plan for the team.

Coming up with a solution for the 2023 season, senior Mazepin presented his plan. “The existing contract is still in effect, but for next year we are proposing an additional voluntary agreement to incentivize staff members to stay on the team, be more engaged and understand the challenges. Represented by a calendar with 23 races.”

To ensure the staff stayed with the American outfit, he explained Uralkali’s involvement. “The human factor is very important and that is why we want to increase the motivation of the staff. We, as sponsors, want to be part of the team.”

Looking forward with hope to the 2022 season, he added, “We are grateful to the team for their hard work, and by continuing to do so, with these joint efforts, we can achieve better results next year and seize great opportunities.”

Mazepin ambitious about Haas position

Although Uralkali’s position as a sponsor has been important, Mazepin looks forward to the day he owns a team. “We have great ambitions in motorsport and in the past we have made an attempt to buy a Formula 1 team. This is still a possibility for us and it is not linked to Nikita but is determined by our long-term plans. We want to expand our presence in F1.”

With teams in the feeder series, Mazepin wants to complete the hunt. “If suddenly a small team proves to be competitive in 2022, then its value and attractiveness will be greater.”

Nonetheless, the focus will be on Haas in the coming season as they have been working hard on the 2022 car. Will luck switch for the team?
