Major Voice Actor in Resident Evil 4 Remake Reportedly Leaks Crucial Artwork

Over the past few months, remakes have gained a lot of steam. Recently, Rockstar Games launched the remastered version of its iconic Grand Theft Auto Trilogy, including Vice City and San Andreas. To make matters better, it looks like horror fans might have something to feast on as well, as a voice actor has seemingly confirmed the production of a Resident Evil 4 Remake.

For the longest of time, fans have heard rumors about a possible release of the hit 2005 horror-survival title. While the developers at Capcom have never publicly announced the development of a remake, a major voice actor seems to have let the cat out of the bag.

Voice Actor reveals development of Resident Evil 4 Remake

Recently, some tweets have popped up, revealing screenshots of direct messages from voice actor DC Douglas. They claim that the actor broke his NDA by revealing that he will play the franchise villain in Albert Wesker. Moreover, it looks like Douglas has sent confidential concept art of his character to fans on Twitter by messaging them.

While it remains to be seen if the images and screenshots are true, it seems like DC Douglas might have made a major mistake by breaking his NDA. Additionally, it also doesn’t help the fact that the actor has also deleted his Twitter account, making it seem more likely that a remake’s on the cards soon.

The arrival of Separate Ways in the remake

The original Resident Evil 4 released for the Nintendo GameCube in 2005. However, it later received a port for the PlayStation 2 with the addition of the fan-favorite minigame called Separate Ways. The minor campaign showcased the connection between the game’s character in Ada Wong and the franchise’s over-arching villain in Wesker. With Douglas sharing the information about his character, it seems like the remake will contain Separate Ways as well.

It remains to be seen if Capcom will refute the information revealed by DC Douglas. If the screenshots are what they seem to be, then this will be the series’ third remake after Resident Evil 2 and 3, which dropped in 2019 and 2020, respectively. So far there has been no concrete news about the title, but fans can expect to hear more soon.
