The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus seems ready to be trading Alexandria for American Idol in this hilarious behind-the-scenes clip.
The actor, who plays Daryl Dixon on the show, was caught humming to himself as he sat in between takes.
While we’re not quite sure what it is he’s trying to sing, Norman quickly stops in his tracks when he realises he’s been caught – but gives a knowing glance to the camera before it cuts out.
Wearing a Covid mask on his head, it was definitely a look, and even he must have seen the funny side as he later shared it on Instagram.
Celebrating the release of the bonus season 10 episodes, which launched in the US last night, he wrote: ‘Excited for tonight ! We’ve worked really hard on these episodes hope u enjoy’
He ended by revealing the secret camera operator, and added: ‘Mel [Melissa McBride, who plays Carol] took it.’
The dynamic duo that is Carol and Daryl are going to be taking centre stage next week, with the second bonus episode flashing back to Daryl’s hunt for Rick Grimes during the season nine time jump.
The episode, titled Find Me, will test the pair’s friendship in what’s revealed, we’ve been promised.
Their adventure soon goes off track with the discovery of an old cabin, causing Daryl to reflect on his time away from Alexandria, following Rick’s supposed ‘death’.
While viewers know that Rick survived the horde of walkers after a bridge explosion in season nine, to the survivors, it was assumed that he’s gone for good.
But Daryl went on search for a body, and never found it.
What he did find was his beloved dog – and a new enemy in the shape of Leah (Lynn Collins).
Whatever happens in the upcoming episode, it’s sure to have serious repercussions – which could be awkward for their upcoming spin-off.
The Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9 pm ET/8c on AMC and Mondays 9pm on Fox.
