Kunt launches second bid for Christmas number one with expletive-ridden Boris Johnson follow-up

Comedy singer Kunt hasn’t given up on that elusive Christmas number one, as he launched his bid with a rather sweary tune.
His band The Kunts missed out on the top spot last year when they landed in fifth spot on the charts with song Boris Johnson Is A F*****g C**t.
And that came with a blackout from the BBC, which refused to play the tune owing to its rather X-rated title. Still it received support online from Charlie Brooker and Sex Pistols’ Glen Matlock.
Keeping things similarly festive, Kunt wants fans to buy and stream this year’s tune, Boris Johnson Is Still A F*****g C**t.
Available from December 17, the band released a video in a nod to the tune ahead of its release in which they portray the Ghostbusters hunting the Prime Minister, who has money spilling out of his blazer pockets.
Giving us a pretty big hint as to the lyrics, the song’s title is repeated over and over again.

Speaking about his attempt to hit the top spot last year, Kunt said in a British Comedy Guide interview: ‘Even though the song went top 5, I don’t feel like my business is properly concluded with Boris Johnson as he’s still there, still in charge and still every bit as much of a f*****g c**t.’
He noted on his attempt: ‘I thought I was well over getting this excited about anything but everyone else’s excitement about the idea of a song calling the Prime Minister a f*****g c**t fighting it out for the Christmas number one rubbed off on me big time.
Last year Ladbaby took the coveted Christmas number one spot, for the third year in a row, and isn’t ruling out giving it another go this year.
The star – Mark Hoyle – has yet to confirm whether he’ll be donning his Santa hat and wielding a sausage roll for the fourth time, so we here at Metro.co.uk felt it our duty to grill him.
‘You’ll have to wait and see! Never rule out a sausage roll at Christmas is what I would say,’ Mark teased after the release of his book Greg The Sausage Roll: Santa’s Little Helper. ‘Look, it’s amazing – there are so many megastars going for it this year, Ed Sheeran, Elton John, Mariah Carey of course, Abba, Adele has got a new album.
‘If we can find a way to raise more money for the Trussell Trust this year and if we can find a way to make it bigger and compete against such megastars, then you never know.’
He’s got some competition this year…
