There was a Wyatt Family reunion of sorts over the weekend as Braun Strowman and Erick Rowan got together at a fan convention.
The duo – now going by the names Adam Scherr and Erick RedBeard since their respective WWE releases – have a long of history after the former Monster Among Men joined Erick in Bray Wyatt’s sinister cult for a decent spell from August 2015 until July the following year.
The pair were both in North Carolina for the WrestleCade convention and posted together for a snap, and it’s clear they’re both in fantastic shape.
Scherr simply captioned the photo: ‘Family!!! (sic)’
While Rowan added: ‘Nice to reunite with @adamscherr99 at @wrestlecade’
The photo also caught the eye of Amanda Huber, whose late husband Brodie Lee was a member of the Wyatt Family as Luke Harper in WWE.
The reunion comes after Erick was released by WWE last year, while Strowman was let go by the company over the summer.
The former has continued to work on the independent scene, and fans are still waiting to find out if the latter has any grand plans in the wrestling world for 2022.
Scherr – who recently made his first non-WWE wrestling appearance at Free Your Narrative II: The Monster In Us All – has since acknowledged his previous claim of not wanting to wrestle outside of Vince McMahon’s company.
Speaking to JC in a Control Your Narrative interview, he said: ‘Did it end how I wanted it to? Of course not. I know people always…I’ve been hearing it a ton, “You said you’d never wrestle again when you were done with WWE.”
‘Well, I was forced to be done. I said I would never wrestle for another company when I took my boots off for WWE.
‘I never took my boots off, I never had an opportunity to put them back on and come back to work. I ain’t gonna lie, it sent me to a pretty bad place.’
Meanwhile, the Wyatt Family leader Bray Wyatt is also a free agent after being released himself at the end of July, and fans were speculating for months about his next move.
As we recently revealed, Bray – whose real name is Windham Rotunda – is actually making the jump to Hollywood as he gets ready to start shooting his first feature film.

Callosum Studios owner and special makeup effects artist Jason Baker exclusively told Metro.co.uk: ‘He’s a phenomenal collaborator, he’s become a really good friend, and we’re actually – you’re the first person that we’re publicly telling about [this]. We’re starting a film at the end of the month.’
He revealed the upcoming film, which is yet to be officially announced with the title and plot details being kept under wraps, is set to start filming by the end of this month.
‘Two weeks to go, we’re filming in Tennessee,’ he said. ‘It’s a feature film and it’s something really new and different. I’d say probably the best way to describe it is Ichi the Killer meets Xanadu.’
