When was Love Island Australia series 2 filmed as it airs on ITV2?
If you’re itching for more Down Under drama now Married At First Sight Australia is coming to its season end, the country’s series 2 of Love Island premieres on UK television this evening.
Seeing as the UK version of the popular reality show was put on pause this year, we’re hankering for some drama in the sun (to quote Gavin and Stacey’s Pam, ‘it’s the drama, Mick – we just love it’).
Much like the first season, pop star-turned-Bachelorette Sophie Monk hosts the season, with voiceover lols provided by Eoghan McDermott, as we see a fresh bunch of gloriously glistening singletons try to land a lover and a clothing deal.
When was Love Island Australia series 2 filmed?
Throwing it back a couple of years, the second season of the show premiered in Australia on October 7, 2019, meaning we’re trailing a little bit behind the live drama.
The series ran for 35 days with the finale airing on November 14, and we shan’t spoil it here for you.
Where was Love Island Australia based?
The first series of the Aussie dating show took a cue from the UK version and based itself in sunny Majorca, in a similar, colourfully decked out villa that is the stuff of Instagram dreams.
For its second outing, however, Aussie Love Island took things to neighbouring Fiji, which is just as gloriously sunny, but minus the 24-hour flight time.
Who are the contestants?
While we’ll be seeing a load of bombshells crash the villa – wouldn’t be Love Island if they weren’t throwing some babes among the coupled up – 10 hopefuls kick things off in episode one, with new peeps following from the second day.
Vanessa, 24, Businesswoman from Sydney
Cartier, 19, Lifeguard from Sydney
