WOW! UFC Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko’s Intense Training at 5500ft Elevation

Valentina Shevchenko, the reigning UFC women’s flyweight champion, is fresh from her recent title defense at UFC 266. After her victory, ‘Bullet’ took a break from fighting. However, she has been doing many big things outside the UFC.

She visited her home country, Kyrgyzstan, and received a warm welcome from her people. Valentina Shevchenko also received the privilege of meeting President Sadry Japarov.

Amidst all the celebrations, ‘Bullet’ continued her training. Shevchenko posted a video of her where she is hitting the mitts at 5500ft above sea level. Training in such a challenging environment!

It comes as no surprise given how successful she has been in thwarting all challenges at flyweight.

‘Bullet’, on an eight-fight win streak, has six consecutive title defenses- the most among the current UFC champions. She has surpassed Kamaru Usman, Israel Adesanya, and also her rival, Amanda Nunes.

Valentina Shevchenko is interested in a trilogy with Amanda Nunes

‘Bullet’ is inarguably the greatest women’s MMA fighter. She has a professional fighting record of 22-3 with eight knockouts and seven submissions under her name. Out of her three defeats, two have come in the UFC. Both of them were at bantamweight against Amanda Nunes.

Interestingly, ever since she defeated Lauren Murphy at UFC 266, ‘ Bullet’, in several of her interviews, has expressed her interest in fighting ‘The Lioness’ for the third time.

Meanwhile, ‘The Lioness’ is preparing for her bantamweight title defense against Julianna Pena. This title fight will feature as a co-main event on the main card of UFC 269.

Shevchenko, who has defeated almost all the fighters on the women’s flyweight roster, will wait for her next prey. If Nunes wins the fight at UFC 269, there’s a high potential for this trilogy fight to happen. The UFC might also benefit from it, considering the history of both the female fighters.
