Lewis Hamilton has been known for his love for fitness and positivity. And he shares this with his family as well. In a recent video, the champion spends time sparring with his with his niece, teaching her the discipline that comes with martial arts.

Hamilton joked his niece was helping him stay fit for the final two races of the season. He captioned the heartwarming video: “I was bullied as a kid but martial arts really helped, it instilled in me discipline, respect and it helped me protect myself — I’m so proud that she and her brother have started learning.”

Referring to his hard childhood, Hamilton has emerged stronger than ever. With ”Still I rise” reminding him of the power and respect he holds, Hamilton sets the best example for his growing niece.

It would be a historic title to win, regardless of who wins it. If Verstappen gets the crown, he would dethrone Hamilton and Mercedes after a strong reign over the turbo-hybrid era. However, if Hamilton wins the title, he would break Michael Schumacher’s record; thus becoming the only driver in F1 history to score 8 world championships.

Thus, the last two races will be absolutely fascinating- there’s all to play for. And Hamilton thinks so too. As the trophy comes nearer in sight, the 7-time champion is as hungry as ever, if not more.

Hamilton confessed that lifting the trophy for the eighth time would be his greatest achievement. “no one has ever been able to fight for an eighth, aside from Michael. It is a new position, uncharted territory.”

However, it’s the struggle to the top that sets this one aside. Usually, Lewis has no one obstructing his run for a title, but now there’s a competitive Dutchman in his way. As the championship shifted hands almost every race this season, Verstappen has proven himself to be a worthy opponent to take the crown this season.

Thus, Hamilton has been giving it everything throughout the last 20 races. “This is the best I have been able to give in a year, the training, the time balance that I have. I made every sacrifice I could this year. I don’t think I have left anything undone, so at this point of the year there are no regrets.”

Regardless of who wins the title, it would be one well-deserved. Whether it’s Verstappen, who endured DNFs and still holds the lead; or it’s the reigning champion, who has fought with health problems to keep it close. Everything will come to fruition over the next two races and those will be ones worth watching.
