Will Mellor has called for a Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps reunion, while controversially calling it a ‘bigger show’ than Gavin and Stacey.

The actor, known for his role as Gaz Wilkinson on the hit BBC sitcom, is keen to follow in Gavin and Stacey’s footsteps and release a long-awaited reunion episode in the future.

Will also revealed that co-star Ralf Little is up for a possible reunion, with the show turning 20 in 2021.

When asked by Radio Times if Two Pints should return, Will said: ‘One hundred per cent.’

He added: ‘We need to do a reunion. Ralf Little’s also up for it – I know his character got eaten by a shark, but we’d just say he was running away from a loan shark and has been hiding in Spain!’

The comments are a reference to the demise of Ralf’s character Jonny Keogh, who died in the seventh series after winning a competition to go shark jumping in Hawaii.

Will continued: ‘I’d love to do [a reunion]. I can’t force the hand of other cast members or the BBC to make it. They haven’t come knocking at my door. But I don’t know why, as it seems like a perfect fit.’

The actor went on to say: ‘They brought back Gavin and Stacey and, in my opinion, Two Pints was a bigger show.’

Gavin and Stacey returned for a Christmas special in 2019, almost 10 years since the last episode of the show aired.

Two Pints was last on our screens in 2011 and also starred the likes of Natalie Casey, Sheridan Smith, Kathryn Drysdale and Luke Gell.

Will Two Pints return in the near future? Or has Will just started beef between two of the biggest British sitcoms of the past two decades?
