WWE Universe Emotional As Stone Cold Steve Austin Relives Epic Kane Moment from Attitude Era

Stone Cold Steve Austin has had larger-than-life rivalries with larger-than-life people like The Undertaker, Vince McMahon, Mike Tyson, Triple H, and Kane. The man who arguably defined WWE’s Attitude Era is surely Austin.

With his no-nonsense attitude, his glass-shattering music, and his middle fingers, the WWE Universe loved everything about the Texas Rattlesnake. Austin took to his Instagram and posted a throwback picture of himself in a ring working with Kane.

However, Austin couldn’t remember which PPV or event this picture was from. And the WWE Universe came into the equation and made the Rattlesnake remember that this was the Royal Rumble 2001 PPV, which eventually, Austin won.

And throughout his multiple storylines with Austin, Kane has produced some classic matches which defined the Attitude Era.

“Working somewhere with the Big Red Machine, Kane. Probably a Raw or PPV. Can’t remember. That’s why it’s” Austin wrote.

Why Royal Rumble 2001 is important for Stone Cold Steve Austin?

Every pro-wrestling fan knows that Stone Cold is the only wrestler to have ever won the Royal Rumble match thrice in his career.

It was the 2001 PPV, which sealed this part of history when he eliminated Kane that night in New Orleans, Louisiana, and out-bested 29 superstars.

The Royal Rumble of 2001 is famous for one more reason, and that is because of Kane. That night, Kane went berserk and eliminated a whopping 11 superstars to set the record.

The former WWE Universal Champion, Brock Lesnar, later broke this record at the Royal Rumble 2020, when he defeated 13 superstars before getting eliminated by Drew McIntyre.

However, this particular Rumble PPV (2001) will forever be alive in the hearts of the WWE Universe.
