Netflix confirms third Tiger King documentary with Doc Antle despite him slamming original series
Netflix’s Tiger King is returning with yet another series, this time shining a spotlight on animal trainer and private zoo operator Doc Antle.
The announcement of this new three-part documentary comes just weeks after the streaming giant released Tiger King 2, which revealed a conspiracy to decapitate Joe Exotic and a theory that Carole Baskin’s missing husband is still alive.
Doc, real name Mahamayavi Bhagavan Antle, was a key player in the show’s first chapter and welcomed the cameras to his private zoo, Myrtle Beach Safari.
Tiger King: The Doc Antle Story will investigate whether Doc is a ‘showman or a con man’.
‘A lifelong showman, Doc Antle has built his various careers on theatrics, attracting a slew of admirers along the way,’ the synopsis reads.
‘But beneath the eccentric, animal-loving facade lies a predator far more dangerous than his beloved big cats and a man shadier than any of his Tiger King counterparts.

‘Over three episodes, Tiger King: The Doc Antle Story unpacks the truth about Doc, as witnesses come forward to share their troubling stories of abuse and intimidation that set him at the top of the food chain.’
Doc was featured prominently in Tiger King’s initial series as his zoo offered customers the chance to interact with live exotic animals.
But the documentary also explored other aspects of his life too, including accusations of failing to take proper care of animals.
The zookeeper previously hit out at his portrayal, stating in a video interview: ‘This is not a documentary.
More: Tiger King
‘This is a salacious, outrageous ride through television show produced to create drama to tie you into some crazy train wreck of a story between the feud of Carole Baskin and Joe Exotic.’
The news of the third Tiger King documentary might not be welcome for some, as many refused to watch the last instalment due to it sparking flashbacks to the first Covid lockdown.
We’ll still be watching it though…
Tiger King: The Doc Antle Story launches on December 10 on Netflix.
