Brexton Points Out the Weakness in His Father Kyle Busch’s Arsenal at Nitro Cross Rally Weekend

With Tom Busch having a short racing career and his sons, Kyle Busch and Kurt Busch becoming NASCAR champions, another Busch is showing signs of having a racing DNA. The man, or rather, the little boy in question, is Kyle Busch’s son, Brexton Busch.

Although Brexton is only six years old at this point, he’s already showing an understanding of racing well beyond his years. Yes, he has taken part and won in the Beginner Box Stock car series, but Brexton recently displayed an understanding of Rally Racing.

As Kyle Busch is spending his offseason time racing at Nitro RX circuits, he was joined by his son in an interview. The interviewer asked Brexton whether his father was losing time at the jumps.

“Oh, those! The gap jump is really hard for my dad,” Brexton answered.

So, his father asked, “Is that always where I lose time? Over the gap jump?”

“Probably,” as he grinned at his father.

This is an impressive assessment from a little child that shows that he has a good eye as an observer and an understanding as a race car driver.

Busch’s appearance in Sunday’s event will be his second NRX race after he made his debut last month. In his first race, Busch finished in P4 but he’ll look to finish higher this weekend.

Speaking about his experience of Rally racing, Busch described that it’s cool & fun. He explained that it’s not as stressful for him since he’s not competing for points and titles like the regulars.

This in itself makes the experience all the more fun for him.

“I’m just coming in, having fun and enjoying what I can get out of it. I think that lends itself to being more laid back in any realm that I do. I’ve done part-time Xfinity, part-time Truck and it’s more fun (for me) than for the guys that race full time.”

When the interviewer asked Busch whether he’ll come back for another round of NRX, he said, “Probably not this year.” But much to his fans and NRX fans’ happiness, he said that he’ll work out some things in order to “hopefully come back next year.”
