Ever since the news of Tom Holland and Zendaya’s relationship came to light, fans of the Spider-Man: No Way Home stars have been clamouring to find out more about their romance.
Other than the couple sharing supportive messages for each other on social media and Tom admitting that they felt they were ‘robbed of their privacy’ when pictures of them kissing were published online, the pair are understandably very discreet.
On Friday evening, Tom, 25, and Zendaya, 25, appeared on The Graham Norton Show to promote their latest Marvel movie, in which they’re reprising their roles of Peter Parker and MJ respectively.
Following the interview, body language expert Judi James shed some light to Metro.co.uk on how their mannerisms demonstrated their close bond, with their body language signals suggesting that ‘they’re not just in a romantic relationship together but that they are also good friends’.
‘They show equal levels of respect, dependency and support as well as affection. When Tom speaks he constantly eye-checks Zendaya and she responds with nods of approval and encouragement,’ Judi said
‘When he does look over at her she tends to touch and re-check her clothing, suggesting a desire to look her best for him.’
At one point during the show, Tom and Zendaya got up from their seats to demonstrate a stunt that they performed on a Spider-Man movie, when the Dune actor would end up catching her co-star to help him steady his feet.
Judi outlined how the reenactment of the stunt ‘shows signs of mirroring and synchronicity’, another indication of their ‘closeness’.
Many fans on Twitter have been discussing one clip in paritcular, when Zendaya expressed concern over Tom being unable to get out of his Spider-Man suit if he needed to throw up because of its design.

Judi noted how Tom ‘gazes at her adoringly’ in the moment, sitting ‘almost totally still with his hands clasped on his lap as he listens, which signals total attention’.
‘He seems to love listening to her talk and his thumbs roll slightly in his lap, suggesting happiness,’ she added.
Despite probably being familiar with most of each other’s stories, when Zendaya recalled how supportive her parents were when she wanted to pursue her acting career, Tom listened ‘as though hearing it for the first time and laughs at all the right funny bits to suggest he is her biggest fan’, the body language expert said.
Then, when Graham revealed a clip of a younger Tom talking about being cast in Billy Elliot, Zendaya appeared to ‘look even more besotted’, Judi noted, as she was ‘laughing at his comments but then pushing her mouth into an appreciative coo-ing gesture of affection’.
All in all, we are very much Tomdaya shippers.

The pair recently made their first red carpet appearance as a couple when they attended the Ballon d’Or awards ceremony in Paris.
Tom looked dapper in a black suit and bowtie, while Zendaya stunned in a black Roberto Cavalli dress with a back design inspired by Spider-Man villain Doc Ock.
The Graham Norton Show returns on Friday at 10.35pm on BBC One.
