Steve Kerr: “I Think Stephen Curry in a Lot of Ways Is Like Michael Jordan Because There Are So Many Moments That Stand Out That They All Kind of Bleed Together.”

The Golden State Warriors are cruising in the NBA. Having the best record in the league, they have emerged as a surprise threat. The main reason they are doing so good is Stephen Curry putting on a show every single night. His contributions have hit home for the Bay and surrounding pieces have also done their job. When talking about the Baby Face Assassin, Steve Kerr compared him to none other than Michael Jordan.

When MJ played, one thing was sure, there would be no shortage of highlights. From dunks to crazy layups, Jordan had all the weapons. Similarly, Steph dominates the game with his shooting prowess. Some of his shots seem to be impossible, but he still manages to make them. Both these players are truly one of a kind.

Kerr says Stephen Curry is a lot like Michael Jordan

Golden State Warriors’ coach Steve Kerr understands the game better than most. He has played with and even coached many great players, which has helped him tremendously. So when speaking about his current best player, he said Curry is similar to Jordan because they have many moments that stand out.

He said: “I think Steph in a lot of ways is like Michael Jordan because there are so many moments that stand out that they all kind of bleed together. … Maybe that’s the true sign of greatness.”

Kerr is spot on for the fact that both these players have had stand out moments. For MJ, his NBA Finals record and clutch shots stand out for his entire career. ‘His Airness’ was always the guy and his legend fed off his clutch ability. On the other hand, Curry continues to break shooting records and even looks to set new ones. Hence, there is no doubt that these moments are what make the two stars great.

Both of them are two of the most revolutionizing players in the history of the game. Jordan made an impact on an entire generation and made NBA into a big market. As of Steph, his shooting led to a change in the league’s play style and paved way for the three point era in the NBA. Both these stars have produced some great moments, and they have done it frequently. Hence, Steve Kerr may have a great point with this comparison. What do you think of Kerr’s comments?
