‘Can’t Make Weight and Can’t Fight for Shit’- Tony Ferguson Is Back to Trolling Khabib Nurmagomedov

Khabib Nurmagomedov is undoubtedly one of the finest fighters that the UFC has ever seen. The Dagestani has beaten the best that the UFC has had to offer and has never lost a single fight. His professional fight record of 29-0 is a testament to his greatness as a fighter.

Even though Nurmagomedov was one of the finest in the world before retiring last year, many debate his status as the greatest of all time. This is because he didn’t have enough title defenses and retired very early in his career. Another argument for him not be at G.O.A.T. status is the fact that he has missed weight twice and has often struggled to cut weight.

Khabib had missed weight ahead of his fourth UFC fight against Abel Trujillo at UFC 160. He also didn’t make it to the weigh-ins ahead of his fight against Tony Ferguson at UFC 209 and later had to pull out as he was hospitalised.

El Cucuy’ has been taking shots at ‘The Eagle’ ever since this incident, hoping to get a fight against him. Recently, Ferguson took to his Twitter once again to troll Khabib.

Will we ever see Khabib Nurmagomedov take on Tony Ferguson?

Nurmagomedov retired after his bout against Justin Gaethje at UFC 254. ‘The Eagle’ said that he is retiring as he made a promise to his mother that he won’t return to fight without his father by his side. His fight at UFC 254 was the only fight that Nurmagomedov did not have his father at his corner.

ABU DHABI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES – OCTOBER 25: Khabib Nurmagomedov of Russia announces his retirement in the Octagon after his victory over Justin Gaethje in their lightweight title bout during the UFC 254 event on October 25, 2020 on UFC Fight Island, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Ever since he announced his retirement, fans have been wondering if he would return to action like most fighters do. But this won’t be the case with Khabib. He is definitely a man of his word and holds his family very dear to him. Dana White has tried to convince him to return as well, but the Dagestani won’t budge.

It is very unlikely that the fight will ever take place, but doesn’t stop one from hoping!
