Who left MasterChef: The Professionals last night?

MASTERCHEF: The Professionals is heating up with a host of top chefs already leaving the show.

Another one of the top chefs was eliminated on December 9, 2021, as the competition continues its semi-final round.

Who left MasterChef: The Professionals last night?

As the competition heats up, it was times up for John.

It was tough choice for the judges, but sadly the pro chef didn’t make it any further in the competition.

Talking about his exit, John told viewers: “I’m really proud of what I’ve achieved but I’m really sad to not be going forward.

“It’s been an amazing positive experience and I’ve learnt so much.”

Judge Marcus Wareing said: “John we have thoroughly enjoyed watching your development.

“Do not stop studying that lovely style that you are finding.”


Who has left MasterChef: The Professionals so far?

Heat one elimination

Dario His parents were both chefs in Portugal and he followed his mum around the kitchen. He moved to England when he was 12 years old and always wanted to be a professional chef.

Lauren – She left her seven-year career as a chef on a super yacht to run her own cafe in Surrey. She now owns The Deli in Oxted, and loves being “her own boss” and cooking what she wants to cook.

Heat two elimination

Budiono – He is originally from Indonesia and works as the head chef at Aloft Hotels in London. He loves to promote Indonesian food.

Rhodri – From Wales, Rhodri is a sous chef at the Michelin-listed Heathcock Pub in Llandaff, Cardiff.

First quarter-final elimination

Nico –  Originally from Gibraltar, and graduated from Le Cordon Bleu London in 2016 with a Grand Diplôme, now specialising in pastry.

Anthony  – A chef at the luxury five-star hotel, The Goring, in London.

Heat three elimination

Eddie – Eddie was on furlough for six months – which made him decide to apply to MasterChef: The Professionals.

Kirsty – A classically trained chef from Northampton, Kirsty works in fine dining at the Narrow Boat at Weedon.

Heat four elimination

Trung – Trained professional chef

Wesley – A fine-dining breakfast chef

Second quarter-final elimination

In a shock elimination the judges kept THREE chefs in the competition, with only one shown the door.

Elena – She is the head chef at Meadow Restaurant and has a twin sister who owns a cake shop and is a trained professional pastry chef.

Heat five elimination

Mathilde – The Head Chef at Urban Leisure Group, who goes by the handle the twerking chef on Instagram, was let down by her apple crumble.

NicThis pro’s raw chicken saw him leave the competition early.

Heat six elimination

Thom – Thom is a 32-year-old sous-chef at a fine dining restaurant, originally from Strasbourg, France. Unfortunately, his Crepes served with Hazelnut chocolate spread and fruit weren’t enough to impress the judges.

Jake – The 27-year-old is also a sous-chef in Staffordshire and has been a chef for 11 years now. Jake’s main talent is British cuisine – but his hopes of reaching the latter rounds of MasterChef: The Professionals were halted.

Third quarter-final elimination

Andy – ​The 30-year-old worked in a Michelin starred kitchen for three years. He now chefs at a modern British restaurant in London.

Ollie – This chef works in France at Le Château de Berne, a Relais & Châteaux Hotel in the Provence region. The 23-year-old from England is self-taught and was previously a chef de partie (CDP) at a London hotel.

Heat seven elimination

Allwyn – Born in Goa, India, Allwyn started out at the age of 21. This chef has spent most of his career working in hotels and now runs the kitchen at seafood restaurant in St Andrews.

Robbie – ​The 26-year-old dropped out of school and started cooking at the age of 15. He left his native Scotland to spend two years in Australia, and has since been promoted to head chef at a fine dining restaurant.

Heat eight elimination

Gina – The 39-year-old is a head chef at a vegan pub in London. She isn’t vegan herself but is proud to have learned new skills with plant-based food.

Fourth quarter-final elimination

Samuel – ​This 24-year-old from Kent has been a chef for 7 years. He is the head chef at a two Rosetta gastropub and loves to play piano.

Yasmine – The chef de partie, 33, works in Birmingham but had to learn British cooking after being brought up in household of Jamaican cooking. 

EnriqueA 25-year-old sous chef at a fine dining restaurant in London who is originally from Barcelona.

First semi-final elimination

Jamie – This chef works independently but is also the culinary director for Alison Price & Company.

Second semi-final elimination

Charith – He likes to celebrate his Sri Lankan heritage with his cooking.

Third semi-final elimination

JohnHe used to work as a sous chef at the Burleigh Court Hotel in Loughborough.

Who are the MasterChef: The Professionals finalists?

Six chefs have now made it through to the finals week.

They have been whittled down from 32 hopefuls.

Liam – Liam worked at two Michelin starred Andrew Fairlie at the Gleneagles Hotel and Restaurant Sat Bains.

Aaron – He used to be head chef for Sir Richard Branson at his residence in the British Virgin Islands, but now works privately.

Daniel – The 28-year-old is from Portugal and came to London in 2015 to broaden his horizons.

DanA private chef who grew up in Birmingham, which inspired his love of food.

Ryan – A 26-year-old sous chef who works at a French brassiere in central London.

Matt – The 30-year-old is a sous chef who works in a boutique hotel. He works on the border of Lancashire and uses a lot of wild ingredients.

When is MasterChef: The Professionals next on TV?

MasterChef: The Professionals kicked off on November 8, 2021.

The next episode is on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at 9pm, which kicks off finals week.
