Major Hip-Hop Trio Making Special Appearance at WWE Day 1 PPV
WWE announced on this week’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown that the popular rap group Migos will be appearing at WWE Day 1 pay-per-view on January 1st.
The inaugural pay-per-view of 2022 will take place from The State Farm Arena in Atlanta. Chiefly, Offset, Quavo and Takeoff grew up in the suburbs of Atlanta, where the pay-per-view will be taking place.
However, it is unclear whether the group will perform at the State Farm Arena or not. The Migos’s song “Straightenin” is the theme song of the pay-per-view from their new album, Culture III.
Offset is no stranger with WWE or its superstars, as he released a song called “Ric Flair Drip” alongside 21 Savage in which the WWE Universe also witnessed the Hall of Famer making an appearance.
The aforementioned rapper has also made a few WWE appearances with his most memorable one being in 2019 when he appeared on SmackDown to promote his song with Ric Flair.

The current lineup for WWE Day 1 pay-per-view
This will be the first time the WWE will be producing this particular PPV, and it is also reported that this was the idea of WWE Vice President, Nick Khan to make it an annual affair.

However, the very first pay-per-view of 2022 is stacked with stardom now that The Migos are added to the line-up. Perhaps, the biggest attraction will be the bout between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship.
WWE Hall of Famer, Edge will also settle his grudges with former WWE champion, The Miz after Miz challenged him for a fight on the latest edition of Monday Night Raw.
WWE Champion Big E will defend the company’s title against Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens. After weeks and weeks of tension boiling between the three individuals, the stakes couldn’t get any higher. Will Big E walk out as the champion or someone else?
Along with these major championships, the SmackDown Tag Team Championship will be on the line at the PPV when The Usos will defend their title against The New Day.
With the addition of The Migos, WWE is putting in their stardom to make the first-ever Day 1 PPV a success. Eventually, it will all turn on January 1st when the PPV will take place.
