Jonah Hill has been catching up with new Sex and the City reboot And Just Like That… – and it turns out he has the same question as everyone else. 

The actor has reacted after the shock opening to episode one of the new HBO show, which saw Chris Noth’s character Big being killed off. 

Fans weren’t expecting Big to be offed in the first episode, when he suffers a heart attack after a rigorous workout on his Peloton – even though the fitness equipment company has insisted that Big’s ‘extravagant lifestyle’ would have been a contributing factor to his death.

After finding him collapsed in his home, Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) holds him in her arms as he struggles to form sentences. 

It’s an upsetting moment, but Jonah seemed to sum up many viewers’ thoughts when he asked: ‘But why didn’t Carrie call 911 immediately?’

Does he have a point?

Despite the absence of fan-favourite Samantha (Kim Cattrall), many fans of the original show were looking forward to seeing Carrie, Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) reunite in the Big Apple.

They especially didn’t expect it after Chris Noth was purposely present during the filming of a funeral scene on And Just Like That in an effort to throw off the paparazzi.

In August this year, Sex And The City fans were left scratching their heads when pictures were released of the cast of And Just Like That filming a scene that appeared to resemble a funeral.

Unaware that it would have been the ceremony held in Big’s memory, creator Michael Patrick King confessed that Chris was present on the day as a red herring for photographers.

‘Chris was really pleased with the collaboration and we’re both very happy with the daring choice to have Mr Big come back and go, so much so that he even put on a suit and came to the funeral when we were taping,’ he told press, according to Deadline.

‘And I wrote a fake scene, so he and Sarah Jessica [Parker] put on costumes. He said to me, “You really want me to put a face of makeup on and come down and shoot a fictional scene at my funeral?” I go, “Yeah,” because I really wanted the audience to be as surprised as possible before we did it.

And Just Like That is available to watch on Sky Comedy and NOW.
