“Why Would You Even Ask That?” – Terence Crawford Is Confident He Can Beat the Undisputed Light-Welterweight Champion Josh Taylor

Terence Crawford is very confident in his abilities. He is the kind of fighter who will back himself and prove everyone wrong, even when all the odds are stacked against him. Crawford has proved time and again, he is one of the best boxers in his division.

He acquired his moniker ‘Bud’ because of the different kind of person he becomes inside the ring. Normally, when a boxer gets hurt, they fret and backpedal. Crawford, on the other hand, gets furious and comes at his opponent with all he has.

So when an interviewer from iFL Tv asked Crawford who would win in a match between Josh Taylor and himself, Crawford replied, “Of course, you know I’m gonna say me. Why would you even ask that?”

“I don’t know. We’ll have to see. Like I always say, I can’t say an opponent is tougher than anybody I’ve faced if I ain’t been in the ring with them.”

“I’m looking for you Errol [Spence], where you at? I’m in the ocean. You say you’re the big fish, I’m looking for you… We ain’t going to be able to find your punk ass out here.”@TerenceCrawford went looking for the big fish pic.twitter.com/qXOBHKlHi9

Crawford last fought Shawn Porter and passed with flying colors. The 34-year-old won via corner stoppage after he knocked Porter down twice. ‘Bud’ now has his eyes set on the other champions in the division.

Terence Crawford eyes a match against Errol Spence Jr. as he announces his request for the IBF

Terence Crawford has his eyes set on Errol Spence Jr., who has been out of action for a few months due to a detached retina. After nearly four months away, ‘The Truth’ is now back in training and is looking to fight next year.

On Sunday, Crawford asked the IBF to make him the mandatory challenger for the IBF Welterweight champion Spence Jr. Even if the IBF listened to his request, it is no guarantee of a fight, as Spence could just refuse the fight and look to fight someone else. Even if ‘The Truth’ relinquishes the IBF strap, he will still reign as the WBC champion.
