Ted Lasso cast bringing even more joy with one-off Christmas treat

The cast of beloved TV series Ted Lasso are spreading festive cheer this year with a one-off Christmas treat, as they voice characters in an animated special.
Since the show launched on Apple TV Plus last year, it’s been a heartwarming source of comfort for viewers around the world, with Jason Sudeikis fronting an award-winning ensemble.
The actors have since reunited for a four-and-a-half-minute short titled The Merry Christmas Moustache, which sees the lead actor and his co-stars voice their characters in animated form.
The fun film follows the plight of Ted when his signature moustache goes missing, as the rest of the team help him look for it.
In the end, the football coach realises that everything doesn’t have to be perfect in order to celebrate the festive season.
This realisation results in his moustache making a miraculous return, so it’s happy Christmas celebrations all around!

In addition to Jason, other Ted Lasso stars who lent their vocal talents to the short included Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Phil Dunster, Brendan Hunt, Jeremy Swift and Nick Mohammed.
After watching the film, which is available in full on YouTube, several fans expressed how much they loved the delightful story.
‘I have no idea what I just watched but I need 3 more hours of this, thank you very much!’ one person tweeted.
‘Yeah I’m going to need at least six seasons and a movie of this alongside the live action episodes. Thanks,’ another remarked.
Someone else described it as the ‘best Christmas present’, while another wrote: ‘I don’t think you understand how much I needed this. Thank you! Happy Christmas you lot!!’
The second season of Ted Lasso came to an end in early October, with many fans desperate for the show to return as soon as possible.
While it may not be a while until new episodes come out, viewers can rest assured that a third season has already been confirmed.

Among its many awards and nominations, the first season of Ted Lasso was nominated for 20 Emmys, winning for Outstanding Comedy Series at the ceremony.
Jason, Hannah and Brett took home Emmys for their performances, while the lead actor also won a Golden Globe for Best Actor.
