The Brooklyn Nets just can’t catch a break. The news of one of their superstars making headlines finally making his return after a long break had fans thrilled. However, that excitement was quickly subdued when Kyrie Irving immediately entered the league’s health and safety protocols, leaving the team high and dry, once again. And although no fault of his own, fans were quick to clown him for it.

Despite all the barriers in their way, whether it has been deliberate player absence or injuries, the Brooklyn Nets have still managed to keep their head above water. In fact, that’s an understatement of what they have achieved this season. Kyrie Irving hasn’t played a single game this season because of his refusal to abide by due process amidst a pandemic. So, Kevin Durant has been leading the team with his monstrous performances.
Now that the Nets have the best record in the Eastern Conference, there has been another hiccup. Not just Kevin Durant, but Irving, who was expected to make his way back as a part-time player for them on road games, have both entered the league’s health and safety protocols.

Will the Brooklyn Nets get past this, too?
Before their matchup against the Orlando Magic, eleven of their player, including Durant, were listed out of the game. This naturally had its consequences, and the Nets lost. This was very embarrassing, considering the Orlando Magic had lost seven straight games before this. In fact, they are barely even alive in the Eastern Conference.

This goes to show that the Nets could be in deep trouble if its players don’t start returning to the roster. However, nothing is more important than getting Durant back. It’s true that Irving’s presence will only give them a boost but one can only hope that the team doesn’t lose too much until they make their way back and the damage is all done.
