Vince McMahon on Firing WWE Superstars: “I Enjoy Firing People. It Gives Me a Warm Feeling in My Stomach”

WWE has come to terms with the release of over 100 superstars since 2020. While the mass releases mystified many, it seems like WWE chairman Vince McMahon has finally confessed the reason why he let go of so many wrestlers.

In a backstage segment with Raw superstar Austin Theory, McMahon addressed the fact that he is known to fire people. He also added that he feels good about firing people.

Now we know that Vince just enjoys rubbing people off. However, this time it looks like he just said the “firing” thing for the sake of the script and putting over Austin Theory.

On this week’s edition of Monday Night Raw from the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Austin Theory lost a match against the former WWE Universal champion Finn Balor, specifically after Vince McMahon told him to win this one.

Vince McMahon almost fired Austin Theory on WWE Raw

Theory apologized and explained himself and reassured Vince that he got Finn Balor back. The chairman confessed that he likes Theory but is a bit skeptical since he lost his match against Balor earlier in the night.

Eventually, Vince looked straight to Austin and said that maybe he should fire him, and confessed that he loves firing people and it gives him a warm feeling inside, especially before the holidays.

Vince added that he didn’t become a ruthless billionaire by making minor adjustments.

“You lost the match. But I don’t know what to do about it, but maybe I know. Maybe I should fire you, I enjoy firing people. It gives me a warm feeling in my stomach like I just had a really good meal. But I’mma give you another chance, I will give you a rematch next week against Finn Balor”

It looks like McMahon has taken a special liking to Austin Theory as the new Raw superstar gets on-screen time with the chairman. Eventually, maybe WWE will try and put a bet on Theory and push him more.
