Ozark last graced our screens nearly two years ago, and fans will be delighted to know that the fourth is coming soon.
The original Netflix series stars Jason Bateman and Laura Linney as Marty and Wendy Byrde, who move to the Ozarks to launder money for a Mexican drug cartel.
The third season – which dropped back in March 2020 – ended with a nail-biting cliffhanger, making the delay between seasons even more agonising for fans.
So, just when can fans expect to make a return to the bloodied woods of the Ozarks?

The fourth – and final – season will be split into two parts, with part one set to arrive on Netflix from January 21, 2022.
Part two is expected to be released later in 2022, but an exact date is not yet known.
Ozark season four was officially announced by Netflix back in June 2020, but the coronavirus pandemic led to delays in the shooting schedule.
How many episodes will there be in season 4?
Both parts one and two of season 4 will consist of seven episodes each, meaning there will be 14 episodes in total for Ozark fans to enjoy before the show wraps up for good later in 2022.
Ozark frontman Jason Bateman recently shared he knows what happens in the final episode of season four and fans are in for a treat.
Speaking to IndieWire, he said: ‘I do know where everything is going to end. The specifics leading up to it, I didn’t really grind him on.

‘But I was interested in the big question he has the opportunity to answer: Are they going to get away with it, or are they going to pay a bill? What does he want to message to the audience about the consequences of what the Byrdes have done — or lack thereof?
‘We had some great conversations about that, and he’s got really good ideas about that. Specifically, what kind of happens at the end of the last episode: I know, and it’s great.’

Is there a trailer for Ozark season 4?
Yes! The most recent look at the season was released on October 19, with also acted as an official date announcement.
It showed very little in the way of new footage, instead featuring quotes from across the series as well as featuring ominous shots of key locations from the show, before the revealing the release date.
What to expect from season 4
Details on the fourth season have been pretty slkim, but there are clues about where the show might be heading in the first part of its final season.
The official synopsis reads as follows:
‘Marty and Wendy are rid of Helen and climb to the top of Navarro’s empire. They find another opportunity to get out of the Ozarks but some past sins won’t stay buried and the most dangerous threats come from blood.’
Ben was killed off after his own sister ordered a hit on him (Picture: Netflix)
The last season delivered some serious shocks with Wendy’s hit on her own brother Ben (Tom Pelphrey) and the murder of sinister cartel lawyer Helen Pierce (Janet McTeer) in the season finale’s final moments, cementing the Byrdes within drug boss Omar Navarro’s (Felix Solis) circle.
Now that the Byrde’s are in deeper than they’ have ever been before, the new season will likely follow the Byrdes as they navigate life as direct reports to the cartel’s head honcho.
The first glimpse of the new season, released back in September, appeared to confirm this by giving a glimpse at single very bloody scene.
The scene appears to show Marty and Wendy dealing with the immediate aftermath of Pierce’s death at a party held (presumably) by Omar, as they wipe blood off each other.
There are a few other clues in the form of episode names, with the first episode titled ‘The Beginning of the End’.
The second episode is titled ‘Let The Great World Spin, and the third episode is titled ‘City On The Make’ – very ominous indeed.
‘We’re so happy Netflix recognized the importance of giving Ozark more time to end the Byrdes’ saga right,’ show-runner Chris Mundy told Entertainment Weekly.
‘It’s been such a great adventure for all of us—both on screen and off—so we’re thrilled to get the chance to bring it home in the most fulfilling way possible.’
Ozark seasons one to three are available to stream on Netflix and season four will premiere on January 21 2022
