Rachel Brosnahan got her hands supremely dirty this week when she removed a drowned rat from her toilet.
Yes, seriously.
The Marvelous Mrs Maisel actress couldn’t help but give fans a glimpse into her less-than-festive run up to Christmas.
Taking to Instagram, the 31-year-old shared a snap as she got to grips with the ‘surprise’ in her toilet.
Side note: We would have just moved out immediately.
‘New York, I love you. Stay safe out there folks and let’s please look out for each other as this new wave moves through our ranks,’ she captioned the upload.
‘In other NYC news, today I pulled a drowned rat out of our toilet.’
Famous friends and fans couldn’t get over the update, flooding Rachel’s post with questions and queries.
West Side Story star Ariana DeBose replied: ‘Girl… that is… An experience (sic).’
As Zoey Deutch simply screamed: ‘NO’.

A follower questioned: ‘So…did it get in apartment and get into toilet. Or did it come up through the toilet. I NEED TO KNOW.’
While an Instagram user gave us nightmares for days, adding: ‘Yikes! Really??? My friend has a subway rat chew a hole through her kitchen wall
‘The struggle is real. You get a medal for courage [sic].’
Yeah, count us out for now.

Things seem to be worse across the pond as staff at an Australian news station tackled an actual snake slithering around their desks.
Chaos ensued at 10 News First newsroom, in Brisbane, when workers uncovered a snake wrapping itself around a computer monitor.
Thankfully, they had some brave staff on the payroll who took matters into their own hands and rescued the snake – while others relatably screamed in terror around them.
Spilling the beans on their ordeal, journalist Lachlan Kennedy said on Twitter: ‘Now let me tell you, the TV news business can be dangerous and even a bit slippery at times, but check this out.
‘Yep, there it is, a metre-long python curled up around a monitor in our 10 News First newsroom up on Mount Coot-tha today, and I’m not kidding.’
