WWE Legend Mourns NFL Legend John Madden’s Tragic Death: “Legend of the Earth”

NFL Hall of Fame coach and broadcaster John Madden passes at the age of 85. Even he gave voiceovers to many video games like WWE 2K14, John Madden Football, and many more.

It is a sad day that the NFL Universe has lost a big personality. Madden was the coach for the renegade Oakland Raiders, with a vicious record of victory. He brought seven AFC titles and won the Super Bowl following the 1976 season. His win percentage was the highest among the NFL coaches in NFL history.

The NFL (National Football Association) released a statement after John Madden’s sad demise on Tuesday morning. The cause of the dead is yet to be revealed, but it was unexpected.

The NFL released a statement for remembering the legacy of NFL Legend John Madden. As a part of the NFL league statement, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell mentioned on behalf of the NFL family, everybody is sad about hearing it. Further, the statement says everybody knows the Hall of Fame coach of the Oakland Raiders and how John Madden worked for every major network and he contributed his color commentary.

“Nobody loved football more than Coach. He was football. He was an incredible sounding board to me and so many others. There will never be another John Madden, and we will forever be indebted to him for all he did to make football and the NFL what it is today,” said NFL in a statement.

The death of John Madden stunned the entire sports industry. WWE Legend like The Iron Sheik expressed their emotions about the sad demise of NFL Legend John Madden.

The Legacy of John Madden

Madden played a major role in bringing the NFL to new heights. He retired as a coach for the Oakland Raiders at 42, however; he entered a new phase of his life.

The gaming industry widely knows Madden for his long-running Madden NFL video game series. The game carried the NFL gaming universe to new heights. After his retirement as a coach in 1979, he joined the CBC network as the color commentator and later got a higher position to be the top commentator on board.

He also got into other broadcasting networks like Fox Sports, ABC Sports, and NBC Sports. Overall, the legend contributed majorly to the NFL world with his color commentary. He was a popular star in the broadcasting networks as the top announcer. Even WWE tried to get him on board for hosting WrestleMania many times.

 

He got many awards for this broadcasting, like the 16-time Emmy Award winner, 1984 NSMA National Sportscaster of the Year, Yahoo! Sports Top 50 All-Time Network Television Sports Announcers, and 2002 Pete Rozelle Radio-Television Award winner.

The sports industry will always remember his legacy. The contribution from John Madden is enormous and his commentary influenced the NFL sport more.
