The Masked Singer UK: Is Robobunny Mark Feehily? The clues pointing to the Westlife singer

Several Westlife fans said his voice was unmistakeable (Picture: Rex/ITV)

The Masked Singer UK fans are convinced that Robobunny could be Mark Feehily, one of the members of Westlife, after hearing the character performing for a second time… so do the clues add up?

On tonight’s episode of the ITV programme, Lionfish became the latest contestant to be eliminated, revealing Will Young under the stunning costume.

Judges Rita Ora and Jonathan Ross correctly guessed it was the singer, with Mo Gilligan and Davina McCall left in a state of shock as the mask came off.

Earlier in the show, Robobunny was declared safe to sing another day, after delivering a beautiful rendition of Shallow from A Star Is Born, demonstrating their incredible vocal range.

The celebrity’s VT offered several perplexing clues surrounding their identity, from references to the Village People – after a police badge, a Native American headdress and a builder’s hat were seen – to mentions of country life and line dancing.

While the panel put forward individuals including Billy Ray Cyrus, Kevin Bacon and Danny O’Donoghue as possible guesses, they didn’t mention Mark – who many Masked Singer UK fans reckon is behind the mask.

One of the reasons why was simply the fact that Mark is a brilliant singer and fans could recognise his voice, they said on Twitter.

‘Love how everyone is saying that robobunny is Mark Feehily BC THAT PERFORMANCE WAS SO GOOD!!’ one viewer wrote.

‘I’ll sell my kidney and liver if that’s not Mark Feehily……..because it absolutely is!!!’ another remarked.

Someone else said: ‘I don’t watch #MaskedSingerUK usually but RoboBunny is 100% Mark Feehily! I’ve heard him sing live so often I know that voice anywhere!’

Second week running Robobunny had me on my feet! This is a truly great entertainer. So funny with extraordinary vocals. Not many can do that – but Mark Feehily @MarkusFeehily can! Director even said “Mark it!” at the start of the VT. #MaskedSingerUK @MaskedSingerUK @ThisisDavina pic.twitter.com/V5KTKzcLbh

However, several admitted that while they were leaning towards Mark, the clues had left them befuddled.

‘Robobunny sounded like Mark Feehily from Westlife?! So confused as the clues don’t add up to me,’ one person said.

‘I don’t care what the clues are saying, I know that voice! That’s our Mark Feehily from Westlife,’ another wrote.

If viewers look a little closer, they might realise that the clues do make some sense.

The mentions of country and line dancing may have been a hint at Mark’s home, as it was reported last year that he was selling his property in Sligo – which came with a two-level ranch house and a ‘cowboy bath’.

What’s more, Mark has previously expressed interest in going on Strictly Come Dancing and was tipped to be going on the 2021 series, so he may be particularly fond of cutting some shapes on the dancefloor.

Do you think it could be Mark behind the mask?

The Masked Singer UK returns next Saturday evening on ITV.
