BREAKING: Draymond Green Misses Klay Thompson’s Warriors Return Game vs Cavaliers

In a sad turn of events, Draymond Green will not play in the first game of Klay Thompson’s return to NBA basketball. He was only a part of the tip-off but will sit out the rest of the game. Draymond Green is the third member of the Warriors Big 3 on whom the franchise puts all their hopes. However, the DubNation will unfortunately not see the trio together for more than a few seconds tonight. They already waited over two seasons for Klay Thompson, they can wait a little more for the trio.

Draymond Green will be on the court for the opening tip-off to honor Klay Thompson but will not participate in the remainder of the game due to left calf tightness he experienced during his pregame warmup.

Klay Thompson scored his first points in the very first Warriors bucket of the game. The entire arena including the benches went wild as he dropped in the floater. After watching him spend 941 days on the sidelines, it hyped the Warriors to see him back on the floor. However, unfortunately, the DubNation will have to wait to see Draymond play with Klay.

Despite all that Curry did last season to lead the league in scoring, they still only reached the play-in tournament. Subsequently, they lost to LeBron James‘ Lakers mainly because of the absence of a reliable second option. Therefore, Klay‘s return ensures they no longer have to face that problem.
