Jon Rahm finished one shot back at 33 under par with a round of 66, seven under par. Matt Jones shot the lowest round of the day, a 12 under par 61. He equaled the course record, which was earlier shot by Justin Thomas and Jon Rahm.

The 2022 Sentry Tournament of Champions at the Plantation Course in Kapalua Hawaii, had a total prize money pool of a whopping $8.2 million. The tournament was played by 38 players which included some of the biggest names in the sport of golf. The winner Cameron Smith took home prize money worth $1.476 million. Cam won his fourth PGA Tour title and started his 2022 campaign in the right manner. Smith created history as he scored most strokes under par in 72- holes in the history of the PGA Tour.

Cam creates history at Sentry

Cameron Smith, the Australian-based golfer created history once again at the 2022 Sentry Tournament of champions. In the second round of the tournament, the Aussie golfer became the first person since 2003 two reclaim the 36 hole lead, after starting the round with two bogeys. Despite the bogey-bogey start Smith went on to shoot a 64, 9 under par, and joined the lead with Jon Rahm.
