I’ve realised I feel most myself when I’m dressed as a woman

DEAR DEIDRE: I’VE loved being in lockdown because I could dress as I want – as a woman.

I’m a guy of 42 and always enjoyed wearing women’s clothing.

I’m not gay and I’ve had plenty of girlfriends but lately I’ve had a dry patch relationship-wise.

When I was furloughed, I was dressing as a woman daily in my own home.

But I’m scared there might be people out there who aren’t kind, and I’d draw attention to myself – which may result in violence.

How can I stay safe?

DEIDRE SAYS: Take things slowly. Go to well-populated areas first, during the day – perhaps to a coffee shop in town.

Or take a bus trip and see whether you get a reaction from anyone.

If you don’t, then it will help you to build up your confidence.

People are now more accepting of our LGBTQ+ community and you might find you have no issues.
