Mick Schumacher Honestly Confesses About Skill-Set and Power Dynamics in F1 With Mercedes Example
Haas driver Mick Schumacher is gearing up for the 2022 F1 season, his second with the team. Haas had some major issues with their 2021 care which saw the two drivers struggling at the back of the grid. Schumacher recently announced that the new car is looking “very positive” and the team will hopefully make a strong comeback.
Schumacher burst onto the big scene with high expectations. Though there were some impressive performances along the way, he couldn’t escape the shortcomings of the Haas car. Schumacher stands with no F1 points after his rookie season with a 19th place finish in the drivers’ standings. Recently, he was announced as a reserve driver with Ferrari for the 2022 season alongside Antonio Giovinazzi, who is parked on the bench for 2022.
Schumacher recently made an honest statement about the competitive spirit in today’s F1. He believes everyone deserves a fair share of opportunity in F1. In a recent interview quoted by Motorsport, the German driver said it would be arrogant of him to think he can win a race in a Mercedes car. “I think everyone deserves their place in Formula 1. You can only tell if you can win a race in a Mercedes when you get behind the wheel of that car. It would be arrogant to me to think it would.”

Mick Schumacher feels positive about the 2022 Haas car
After a tough season with the Kannapolis-based team, Schumacher is confident of a strong comeback with the team. The team is constantly on its toes finding a well-suited car, and Schumacher is actively involved in the process at the team factory. In a recent interview reported by PlanetF1, Schumacher talked about the latest developments in the team.
“The car looks very positive from what I see and hear. I have great expectations. Hopefully, those expectations will be fulfilled on track in the new year,” said the German ahead of a new season.
“It’s the first time a car has been built for me, so to speak, and not for everyone,” he said. “It’s very much tailored to our dimensions and our helmets, so everything fits together harmoniously.”

It’s less than a month before the drivers are back behind the wheel of the all-new 2022 F1 cars. With a fresh set of regulations in place, fans are expecting a shift in the power dynamics on the grid. Can Haas and Mick climb up the ladder in 2022? We will know soon enough.
