Moon Knight is the latest Marvel Comics show headed for Disney Plus in 2022.

The upcoming six-part drama was first announced two years ago, and it’s set to be the sixth television series from the MCU to launch on the platform.

An explosive first look trailer for Moon Knight was released over the weekend, revealing more clips of Oscar Isaac in the titular role.

Who is the new Marvel character Moon Knight?

Mon Knight, who is also known as Marc Spector, is a mercenary with dissociative identity disorder (DID) who becomes the conduit for the Egyptian moon god Khonshu.

Each of Spector’s identities from his DID are distinct characters, including Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee suffering from blackouts and memories of another life.

Oscar Isaac will portray Moon Knight in the series.

The show marks his second Marvel role, having voiced Miguel O’Hara in the animated Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, a role he’s reprising in the film’s sequel.

Executive producer Kevin Feige has described the character of Moon Knight as ‘an action hero who jumps out of buildings and gets into fights’.

Who is in the cast for Moon Knight?

Besides Oscar taking on the titular role, Ethan Hawke has been cast as Arthur Harrow, a cult leader who encourages Spector to embrace his inner darkness.

Gaspard Ulliel portrays Anton Mogart, also known as Midnight Man, while May Calamawy’s role has not yet been announced.

Moon Knight is scheduled for release on March 30, 2022.
