WhatsApp is getting a NEW design and photos have already leaked online

IT’S ALL change for WhatsApp.

A new look for one of the messaging app’s services looks to be coming sometime soon.

The changes appear to be on the horizon for desktop, specifically anyone using Microsoft’s new Windows 11 operating system.

According to Neowin, the tech giant is developing a new app for the Windows Store, where PC users can download various bits of software.

And leaked screenshots suggest it’ll take a lot of inspiration from the modern Windows style we’ve become used to.

This means more rounded radio buttons and drop-downs similar to Windows 11’s design.

The new app is currently in beta testing, though it’s not clear when Meta – WhatsApp’s owner – intends to complete building the app and make it available to the public.

It comes as several new and improved features for WhatsApp have already emerged in January.

One thing techies are testing is the ability to enable and disable message reactions.

A new global voice note player has also been spotted, which will let you continue listening to voice notes even when you switch to a different chat.

A drawing editor update is on the way as well, with new pencils allowing users to scribble on WhatsApp images.

WhatsApp Business users are set to receive some new goodies too, with advanced search filters.

This will let them filter their chats and messages using special search filters, including contacts, non-contacts and unread.

So if you’re a Windows 11 user, be on the look out for a dedicated WhatsApp app that is likely to land sometime soon.

In other news, personalised smart guns, which can be fired only by verified users, may finally become available to U.S. consumers this year.

Tech giant Microsoft is trying to make the world more woke by rolling out an “inclusiveness” checker in its Word software.

And a federal anti-trust case against Meta, the company formerly known as Facebook, has been given the go-ahead.
