Ozark season 5: Will there be another series?

Ozark was last on our screens nearly two years ago, and fans are delighted to know that the fourth season is dropping on Netflix this Friday.

But, as season 4 of the Emmy Award-winning show returns, bringing with it original Netflix series stars Jason Bateman and Laura Linney as Marty and Wendy Byrde, will there be a season 5, and if so, when will it be released and who will it star?

Will there be another series of Ozark?

It’s thought there will not be a season 5 of Ozark, however, Netflix has not yet confirmed whether there will be or not.

What we do know, is season 4 will consist of 14 episodes, and that it will be divided into two, which isn’t typical of how the Netflix show usually airs.

The third season, which dropped in March 2020, ended on a nail-biting cliff-hanger, which has just upped the stress on fans waiting for the new series to drop.

What’s the plot to Ozark season 5?

We don’t yet know the plot for Ozark season 5, however, the plot to Ozark season 4 looks particularly tantalising.

The official season 4 synopsis, released by Netflix, sums up the forthcoming shows. It reads: ‘Marty and Wendy return and climb to the top of Navarro’s empire.

‘They find another opportunity to get out of the Ozarks but some past sins won’t be buried, and the most dangerous threats come from blood.’

As stated previously, we don’t know who the cast will be in season 5 of Ozark. However, in season 4, many of the old favourites will be returning to our screens.

Is there a trailer for Ozark season 5?

No! There is no trailer for Ozark season 5, but we’ve got an excellent trailer for season 4 to whet your appetite.

The clip for season 4 sees Marty and Wendy trying to reach an immunity deal with Navarro and the FBI, as well as delivering a warning to Darlene from a Mexican drug cartel.

When is Ozark season 5 released?

As of yet, there’s no confirmed release date for Ozark season 5. However, season 4 will drop on Netflix on Friday, January 21.
