NBA Twitter Left In Shambles As Andrew Wiggins Earns First All Star Selection: ‘Worst Starter of All Time’

The NBA All-Star game is a highlight each season, and this season is no different. While there are some familiar faces, new players have also made their way in. One of them is Golden State Warriors forward Andrew Wiggins, who is having a career year for himself. However, Twitter had its say on his selection as well.

With a competing list of players, Wiggins made the starter for the All-Stars this season, and Twitter was not all for it.

Wiggins has emerged as a confident scorer on the Warriors this season. With the absence of Klay Thompson, he came up as a big-time support for Stephen Curry, who is also an All-Star starter besides him. However, there were other names in the competition, and Twitter spoke out.

Warriors star Andrew Wiggins makes his first All-Star team

With popularity all on their side, LeBron James and Kevin Durant were announced as the All-Star captains yet again this season. As fans play a huge part, the Warriors fan base isn’t one to underestimate. They have two of their players in the starting line-up this season with Wiggins and Steph. However, Twitter was not happy with Wiggins coming up as a starter.

Wiggins is surely having his best year in the NBA so far. However, there were many big names that missed out on the All-Star starters. Phoenix’s hot hand, Devin Booker missed out along with former DPOY, Rudy Gobert. There is a chance some of these names don’t get selected altogether as the reserves will be out on February 3rd.

The former number 1 overall pick is surely doing wonders on one of the best teams in the NBA. Andrew Wiggins is averaging 18.1 points so far into the season while having the second-best record in the league. His contributions have been crucial to the Warriors’ side, and he has solidified himself in his position.

Another first-time selection came in with Grizzlies’ Ja Morant. The third-year guard has improved each facet of his game and is averaging a staggering 25.8 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 6.9 assists for the season. He has also led the Grizzlies to the third seed in a competitive Western Conference.
