50 Cent has told fans that his next album will be his last, but he won’t be retiring from music.
The 44-year-old rapper and television mogul, real name Curtis James Jackson III, has been teasing the follow-up to 2014’s Animal Ambition, but so far nothing has materialised.
In a recent video promoting Power spin-off series Force, he opened up about one of his recent Instagram posts, in which he caused a buzz due to the caption: ‘Smile my next album might be my last.’
During an appearance on The Talk on CBS, he was asked about the post, to which he replied: ‘I probably think I’ll deliver one more full-length album, then the other things I do will be connected to film and television.’
He added: ‘I’m having so much success in this area that I have opportunities to keep releasing music through the projects that I’m bringing.’
At the end of last year, 50 Cent shared a video of him performing with a caption that appeared to reveal his retirement plans.

‘I terrorised hip hop for 14 years, don’t believe me Nielsen, the numbers will never lie but i’m nobody’s favourite. Smh.
‘Nah I’m Top 10 dead or alive and I’m not done.’
50 Cent has released five solo studio albums during his career. In 2003, he released the aforementioned Get Rich Or Die Tryin before dropping The Massacre two years later.
He returned to the charts in 2007 with Curtis, and later released Before I Self Destruct in 2009, and Animal Ambition in 2014.
He also released two albums with collaborator G-Unit: Beg For Mercy in 2003, and T.O.S (Terminate On Sight) in 2008.
Earlier this week, the rapper revealed that he will be returning to the UK for the first time in four years, for two dates in June.
He will perform at the SSE Arena, Wembley in London on Friday, June 10, and before headlining Manchester’s Parklife on Saturday, June 11.
50 Cent rose to fame with his eponymous album Get Rich Or Die Tryin’, and has sold more than 30 million albums world wide.
His most recent hit, The Woo, peaked at number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 Charts.
As well as music, he has the most watched series on Starz, ‘Power’, and in January 2020, he received a Hollywood Star of Fame.
