Little girl, 2, found dead in garden after vanishing from east London home

A TWO-YEAR-OLD girl has been found dead in a garden after vanishing from home.

Police launched an urgent search for the toddler after she was reported missing at around 4pm on January 29.

Following a frantic hunt, officers discovered her body in a garden in Dagenham, east London.

No arrests have yet been made and a post-mortem is to take place later this week.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “The girl was found unresponsive in the garden.

“Despite the efforts of paramedics, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

“The death is being treated as unexplained.”

Cops confirmed her next of kin have been informed.
