Shaquille O’Neal Bets Whopping $100K on LaMelo Ball’s Ability To Make A Wild Half-Court Shot At The Rising Stars Game

Young talent is thriving in the league today. And the spearhead of young stars is LaMelo Ball. The sophomore guard is having his best season with the Charlotte Hornets. Moreover, he is also a part of the Rising Stars game during All-Star week. To make things better, Shaquille O’Neal has a bet on the game as well.

While on NBA on TNT, Candace Parker revealed Shaq has a bet on LaMelo Ball making a half court shot in the game.

LaMelo has always had the spotlight on him. Ever since his childhood, LaMelo has showcased his life on camera.Back in high school, the Hornets star hit one of the coldest shots that went viral. And now, Shaq and Candace have a bet on Ball making the shot again.

Shaquille O’Neal has money on LaMelo Ball

When in high school, Ball hit a nasty half court shot. He pointed to the spot, dribbled down to it, and pulled right up without any hesitation. Likewise, he hit the shot, and the clip went viral. Hence, with him in the Rising Stars game, Shaq revealed he has a whooping $100k on Ball making a similar shot in the game. And LaMelo accepted the challenge.

While the range is sure much larger than his high school days, LaMelo has hit some deep shots in the NBA. He is a pretty deadly shooter and has the potential to make that shot. Moreover, as a player, Ball is developing into a superstar for the Hornets.

Playing for the team of Michael Jordan, LaMelo has turned it on this season. Averaging 19.5 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists per night he is also in conversation to be an All-Star reserve in his second season. His dynamic play style has allowed the Hornets to expand their offense. LaMelo being the leader of their offense, has done a great job in getting everyone involved while als being a scoring threat himself.

The Hornets are currently the 7th seed with a record of 28-23 so far. With a young team on their back, Charlotte is a team to watch out for this season. And for LaMelo, his rise to a superstar won’t take long as the guard continues to improve each facet of his game.
