Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Opens Up on His Mental Health Issues: “Someone Who Always Kept All My Sh*t Inside”

Even the toughest need someone to rely on when their mental health is at stake. So, when Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock got the chance to talk about mental health, he didn’t shy away.

Recently, Johnson spoke to Jay Glazer about his book on mental health, Unbreakable: How I Turned My Depression and Anxiety Into Motivation and You Can Too. This book focuses on the gray where one finds it difficult to talk about their anxiety and other emotions.

As a result, one of the fans appreciated Dwayne Johnson and Jay Glazer for talking about mental health and normalizing it. More often than not, people do not talk about their issues lest someone takes advantage of their vulnerability or views them as weak.

The Rock responded to the fan’s appreciation and revealed why it was important for him talk about mental health.

As an only child and someone who always kept all my shit inside (which can be damaging emotionally), it took me many years of life experience to understand and embrace the importance of opening up. Talking opening about our mental health isn’t a weakness.
It’s a superpower. https://t.co/Vr9tl8QGFU
