Caroline Flack’s ex-fiance Andrew Brady has been jailed for four months for harassing GB News star Dan Wootton.
Judge Jeremy Richardson QC, sitting at Sheffield Crown Court, said Brady’s claims that Wootton was in some way responsible for Flack’s death were ‘wholly irrational’ and said that the presenter, who was executive editor of The Sun, was a friend of Flack’s.
The former Love Island presenter took her own life in 2020.
Judge Richardson told Brady that his attacks on Wootton had ‘Woeverything to do with your craving for celebrity status and your irritation that the press were not in the least interested in your somewhat uninteresting life.’
He noted that, given the time that Brady served on remand, he would be released in the ‘very near future’.
He imposed a 10-year restraining order banning Brady from contacting Mr Wootton, posting anything about him online, or going within 200 yards of his home or workplace.

The judge also told him that that the messages about Wootton were ‘utterly outrageous’ and he faces a prison sentence measured in years if he breaches the order.
Sheffield Crown Court previously heard that Brady had admitted harassing the GB News presenter between February and April last year.
The former Apprentice contestant started dating Flack in February 2018 and the pair got engaged three months later.
