Dancing On Ice 2022: Stephen Mulhern confirmed to replace Phillip Schofield as he’s forced to miss show due to Covid

Stephen Mulhern is set to replace Phillip Schofield on this week’s Dancing On Ice after the This Morning presenter tested positive for Covid-19.

Earlier this week, Phillip announced that he had contracted coronavirus hours after making an ITV appearance.

As the TV personality remains in isolation, there has been speculation as to who will present Dancing On Ice with Holly Willoughby this Sunday.

In a statement, a spokesperson for the programme stated: ‘This Sunday’s episode of Dancing on Ice will be hosted by Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern while Phillip Schofield continues to self-isolate.’

Phillip, 59, revealed that he had Covid with an Instagram post, sharing a picture of his positive lateral flow test as he wrote: ‘Well b******s!! Currently just a slightly sore throat.’

Alison Hammond took his place on This Morning this week, who usually hosts the programme on a Friday with Dermot O’Leary.

It was previously rumoured that Stephen might step into Phillip shoes on the ice, but today’s announcement confirms the replacement.
